EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project was planned by the architectural firm of Fleischman Garcia Architects. On January 13, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Kalemeris Construction, Inc. The scope of work included the renovation of existing facilities. Exterior doors were replaced and all door swings corrected to meet ADA requirements. Existing gang restrooms were renovated and the entire heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system was upgraded. A new acoustical ceiling system was installed to assist with the installation of the new HVAC system. Storm waters were redirected from interior courtyard swales to retention ponds filling in the deep swales. Windows were added to Buildings 9 and 10 for ventilation and emergency egress.
This change order provides for final reconciliation of the Direct Purchase and Owner Controlled Insurance Programs and the return of unused contingency funds.
The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
