On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Mathews Construction to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at various schools. The architectural agreement for the classroom additions at Bartels Middle School, Clark Elementary School, Cypress Creek Elementary School, and Shields Middle School and the construction management agreement for the classroom additions at Corr Elementary School, Cypress Creek Elementary School, East Bay High School, Eisenhower Middle School, and Shields Middle School are being amended to add exterior repairs at Cypress Creek Elementary School. The scope of work includes roof replacement, stucco repairs, and exterior painting. Project completion is scheduled for August 14, 2008.

Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the exterior maintenance project.

Construction cost is warranted at $1,858,808. The construction budget is $1,858,808 with funding being derived from the following sources: $1,708,808 from 2 Mill and $150,000 from Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance.
