Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $1,054,557.60 for Renovation at
Crestwood Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the architectural firm of Woodroffe Corporation Architects. On January 16, 2007, the Board appointed the construction management firm of E.M. Scott General Contractor, Inc. The renovation of existing facilities includes fire alarm, intercom, telephone and electrical system upgrades; new plumbing fixtures and door hardware for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; drainage improvements; and new paint and flooring. The Administration Area, Media Center, Dining Area and Kitchen will be enlarged to accommodate the increase in student population at the school.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax ($2,750,000) and 2 Mill ($2,243,887).
