Approve Guidelines for School Improvement 2008/2009 (School Improvement and Accountability)- Revised Attachment

We request approval of the attached Guidelines for School Improvement 2008/2009 document which has been updated and approved by the Central Facilitating Team for accountability, appropriate district staff, and a committee of widespread representation from all stakeholders. Florida Statutes require the School Board to annually review and approve its accountability procedures. The majority of the modifications made to the 2008/2009 edition clarify the School Improvement Process for principals and School Advisory Councils in areas that schools have requested further explanation. The attachment provides highlights of the primary changes to this document.
