Evaluation Results and Approval of the Continuation of Superintendent's Contract 2008-2009.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
All School Board members have completed the Superintendent's annual evaluation process, and all School Board members have rated the Superintendent satisfactory or above on all standards. Thus, her overall performance is "Above Satisfactory" on the rating scale. The average rating of the seven evaluations was 38.1 points out of a maximum of 45 points. Mrs. MaryEllen Elia received a performance rating of 267 points out of 315 points.
The compilation summary of the evaluation is found in Attachment A. Comments collected from her evaluations are reflected in Attachment B . In accordance with the language in the Superintendent's contract, the length of her contract is automatically extended one year, and her base salary is increased by the same percentage increase as teachers.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
By contract, the satisfactory evaluation and contract extension will affect the operating budget with a zero percent increase. At this time, negotiations with the Classroom Teachers Association have not been settled; therefore, Mrs. Elia's 2008-2009 base salary is the same salary paid to her during the 2007-2008 contract year.
