Hillsborough County has been presented with an opportunity to obtain a financial contribution from the Glazer Family Foundation to fund construction of a regulation football field for the National Football League, Youth Education Town (NFL-YET) Center and has requested the School Board allow these facilities to be built on the campus of Mort Elementary School. The County will also be expanding the existing County owned Recreation Center to accommodate a new Multi-Media Center. The School Board will have use of both the football field and the Multi-Media Center.

The County will provide the routine day-to-day maintenance of the Recreation Center and the football field, as well as preventative maintenance and replacement costs for major elements of both facilities with no cost to the School Board.

In consideration of the partnership and for the financial contribution by the Glazer Family Foundation, it has been requested that the football field be named the "Glazer Family Foundation Football Field" at Mort Elementary Park.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

Hillsborough County has established a budget of $500,000 and will be responsible for the cost of the construction of the addition to the recreation building and football field. There will be no financial impact to the School Board.
