Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $277,841.57 for Renovation at
Witter Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Carruthers & Associates Architects P.A. and The Morganti Group, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes site drainage improvements; gang toilet remodeling; new windows, doors, cabinets and exhaust fans throughout; selected floor repairs and replacements; selected interior and exterior lighting improvements; handicap accessibility revisions; roof and flashing repairs; interior and exterior painting; and fire alarm replacement.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
