Final Public Hearing on the Millage Rates and Budget for the 2008/2009 Fiscal Year (FY) (Business Division) Added Attachment

Adopt the Final 2008/2009 Millage Rates, as presented.
Adopt the FY 2008/2009 Budget, as presented. .
Approve the Resolution Adopting the Final Millage Rates and Budget. .
Approve the Policies and Procedures for Lottery Funds. .
Authorize staff to perform all tasks to insure compliance with F.S. 200.065 Truth in Millage (TRIM).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On July 29, 2008, the First Public Hearing was held to discuss and adopt the FY 2008/2009 proposed millage rates and tentative budget, as advertised in the Tampa Tribune on Saturday, July 26, 2008. In accordance with the TRIM requirements, the Board must hold a final public hearing 65 – 80 days after the Property Appraiser certifies the tax roll to allow for any public discussion. The proposed millage rate for 2008/2009 is 7.7770 mills, the maximum rate allowed by law.
