Tampa Bay Educational Partnership (TBEP), a Partnership with David C. Anchin Center at the University of South Florida (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

The Tampa Bay Education Partnership (TBEP) is a collaborative partnership with the David C. Anchin Center housed at the College of Education, University of South Florida. The David C. Anchin Center is a leader in the development and implementation of research sponsored and funded by the Florida Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation and private philanthropy. Dr. Bruce Jones is the Director of the Anchin Research Center and Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Donna Elam is Associate Director for Program Development and External Affairs, and Dr. Brian Mann is Associate Director for Programs and Grant Development. The TBEP provides a structure for the advancement of: (1) The identification of mutual research and training needs that are consistent with our educational missions, (2) Joint action that is necessary to meet these needs, and (3) A formal and vital communication venue between HCPS and the University of South Florida. Since 2007, the Anchin Center has partnered with HCPS on grant projects totaling over $70 million. These projects include the Teacher Incentive Fund ($15,000,000), Voluntary Public School Choice ($10,000,000), Magnet Schools Assistance Program ($9,000,000), Smaller Learning Communities ($9,000,000), Florida PROMiSE ($24,000,000) and Project ELECT ($2,000,000).
