Recognition of the Principal, Staff, Students, and Parents at Bevis Elementary School for Being Designated a Blue Ribbon School (Curriculum and Instruction)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
For the past 26 years, the U.S. Department of Education has honored the nation’s most successful schools, designating them as Blue Ribbon Schools. This year, only 16 schools in the state of Florida were named Blue Ribbon Schools. The only public school in the Tampa Bay area to be honored is Bevis Elementary School in Lithia. According to the U.S. Department of Education, Blue Ribbon schools are honored for “helping students achieve at very high levels and for making significant progress in closing the achievement gap.”
