EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Each year the Division of Student Services and Federal Programs reports to the School Board information collected by the Student Support Services Department which includes School Psychology, School Social Work Services, School Attendance and School Health Services. Attached is a summary highlighting the work of these services. Included are the school's qualifying rates for ESE and gifted evaluations.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 5 - The District will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The combined average salary and fringe benefit cost for the services of the School Psychologist, School Social Worker, and School Nurse is $158,280. The funding for these units comes from Part I, Title I, IDEA, LEP/ESOL, as well as, the Department of Health and various grant sources such as Comprehensive School Health, CDC and the HIV Steps grant.

EVALUATION

The Student Support Services personnel are evaluated annually by district policy. Input is gathered from school-based administrators as well as department supervisors and coordinators.
