Approve Use of Facilities Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County for Use of Space at Manhattan Center

The Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County ("Healthy Start") has requested use of storage space and a general area for assembly of information packages at Manhattan Center. These packages (including Spanish packages) contain early literacy, health, and immunization information for families who delivery babies at Tampa General, St. Joseph's, University Community and Brandon Hospitals. This project is made possible because of the in-kind donation of space from Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System and the School Board. Because of the established and existing partnership between Healthy Start and the School Board, waiver of the rental and usage fees is being requested.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

Assembly of the packages only occurs when Manhattan Center is open for training or during regular duty hours. No extra electrical, custodial, material resources or usage fees are required to accommodate this program.
