SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve the Amendment to the 2008/2009 POSTSECONDARY TECHNICAL FEES Document (Adult Technical Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval to amend the postsecondary technical adult student fee schedule to add a general fee of $73 for fingerprinting for students in postsecondary adult vocational (PSAV) programs which require background checks.

This fee was not included on the previously approved Agenda Item A1.09, June 10, 2008, School Board meeting.

* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Fees collected are receipted in individual school internal accounts. Schools remit these fees to the District's Professional Standards office to cover the District's cost for providing fingerprinting/background check services.
