Approve Acceptance of Project for Classrooms for Kids Addition at
Mitchell Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the architectural firm of Abell Garcia Architects, P.A. On January 13, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. for renovation of the school. On December 14, 2004, the Board approved an increase in the project’s scope for replacement of the existing food service facility with a new Multi-Purpose Building, and a Classroom for Kids Addition providing 12 primary classrooms. The Board previously approved separate Guaranteed Maximum Prices (GMP's) for the Classroom for Kids Addition and the Multi-Purpose Building.

The architect advises that the Classroom for Kids Addition is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
