Transportation Department Analysis
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Transportation Improvement Plan designed by Management Partnership Services is a major initiative that represents a significant change in the business processes of the Transportation Department. The plan calls for major shifts in organizational structure, infrastructure, routing and planning, and fleet management. Many valuable insights were gained during the pilot phase last school year. However, this year’s more comprehensive phase resulted in several unanticipated challenges. At the Superintendent’s request, the Business Process Improvement (BPI) team is conducting an assessment to determine root causes for the difficulties. The BPI team will work with Transportation and district leadership to develop strategies and recommendations that restore the quality of service that is expected by our stakeholders.
