SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Human Resources Division Realignment/Reorganization.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Due to retirements and the realignment of certain job classifications, the Human Resources Division has revised their organizational chart and adjusted various job responsibilities in order to meet future needs coupled with budget reductions.

* Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce, * Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities, * Provide for a district-wide succession planning structure and visible career ladder, * Demonstrate best financial practices

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Upon implementation of the Human Resources realignment/reorganization, there is a current savings of approximately $106,826.72 (Part I Funds). Projected future savings will be realized with a reduction in work force when positions are vacated due to retirement or resignation. (See Attachment 1 for a detailed financial impact summary.)
