Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Robert Dorn Consultants for On-Site Coaching and Mentoring Support for Language Arts Teachers at Middleton High School, 2008/2009 - $6991.20 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval of Agreement for Technical Services for Robert Dorn Consultants to provide language arts teachers at Middleton High School coaching and mentoring in the use of assessment to improve academic instruction. Ongoing support will be provided in content, pedagogy, test preparation, and progress towards school and District goals.

The consultant will also conduct workshops on how to improve writing scores, classroom management, and assist in building a community within the department. All language arts teachers will receive a total of 180 hours of coaching and mentoring from December 10, 2008, through April 30, 2009.

Funds of $6,991.20 are included in Project FOCUS, Project 5382.
