EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed rojo Architecture and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes painting throughout the campus; replacement of vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring and base; fire rating upgrades at classroom walls; miscellaneous architectural, plumbing, and electrical improvements; upgrades to the fire alarm, security, intercom, and data systems to meet code and current standards; and repair of deteriorated structural elements at columns and footings around the perimeter of the circular classroom building, Media Center, and Building 7.
This change order provides for the addition of a fire sprinkler system and accomplishment of related electrical and mechanical work and acoustical ceiling replacement in Buildings 1-5 as required by the District Safety Office and Building Code Manager. A time extension of 53 calendar days is included for completion of the work.
