SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Amount of $1,365.20 Net Extra, including a 60 Calendar Day Time Extension, and Acceptance of Project for Elevator Replacement at
Graham Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the architectural firm of Robinson Green Beretta Corporation. On April 15, 2008, the Board awarded the contract to the low bidder, Sands Contracting, Inc.

Change Order No. 1 provides a credit for the direct purchase of the elevator and related accessories in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program. The change order also provides for modifications required due to unforeseen conditions and requirements of the elevator inspector. A 60 calendar day time extension is included for completion of the modifications.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
