2008 Great American Teach-In
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Great American Teach-In was initiated in 1990 as a joint effort of the Hillsborough Education Foundation, SERVE, local businesses and educators to encourage the community and parents to share real life insight into working careers while reinforcing the importance of education for success. SERVE assisted in placing businesses and community members in District schools which hosted 8,154 speakers and 17,637 presentations at the eighteenth annual Great American Teach-In on November 19, 2008. We would like to recognize Bright House Networks as the lead sponsor of this year’s event. Representing Bright House is Andrea White, Community Relations & Education Manager.
