School Board Policy provides authority to the Board to sell, transfer, or dispose of any real or tangible property, which is declared by the Board to be unnecessary or unsuitable for district purposes. These items will be sold through the Govdeals.com auction site, in order to maximize the return to the District. All items have been reviewed by the responsible department and verified that there is very limited need and that cost of maintenance would exceed their value to the District.

The auction site charges a 7.5 percent fee based on the sale price. The Fixed Asset Master File will be decreased by the Book Value of the assets. All proceeds received from the on-line auction will be deposited into the General Fund.
