EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of the School Board's ongoing partnership with the City of Tampa's emergency operations, the Board desires to further cooperate with and participate in the City's "Shelter" program. The City has requested a first responder location at Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary, Forest Hills Elementary and Oak Park Elementary Schools. These locations will require retrofit that will include electrical upgrades, window replacement/protection and installation of impact fabric. These improvements will be funded and constructed by the City and the Board will provide Florida Building Code review, inspections and permitting, which costs will be reimbursed to the Board.
