Staff of Hillsborough County Library Services and Hillsborough County Public Schools have been working together to accomplish expansion of the library at Sulphur Springs Elementary School. Approval of the Partnership Interlocal Agreement will finalize the terms and conditions for the County and HCPS to jointly operate and maintain a library facility; design and construct the 3,300 to 3,500 square foot expansion of the existing Sulphur Springs Elementary library; furnish and equip the expansion by purchase of new furnishings and equipment; incorporate the School's existing circulation materials; and provide an Integrated Online Library Computer System.

The County and the Board will jointly plan, design, construct, furnish and equip the facility and, at completion, the Board will own the facility, with a joint right of use between both parties. The County has appropriated $770,000 for design and construction of the library expansion.
