Approve School Bus Usage for Super Bowl XLIII
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
I-transit, Inc. has requested to contract the use of one hundred thirty-two (132) school buses to support the transportation needs of Super Bowl XLIII on Sunday, February 1, 2009. The buses will be used to transport law enforcement personnel, vendors, and half-time participants from a staging area into Raymond James Stadium and back. The buses are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. I-transit, Inc. has agreed to be billed at a rate of $45 per hour, per bus. This rate will sufficiently cover the cost of the bus and driver's salary. Included in this rate will be a fleet maintenance mobile repair unit on standby in case of bus breakdown. I-transit, Inc. is required to provide liability insurance for all buses.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
I-transit, Inc. will be charged $45 per hour, per bus. The maximum billable charge is $83,160.
