Approve Design Development Phase for HVAC Cooling Plant and Control System Replacement at
Roland Park K-8 School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Lyle Engineering Group, Inc. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provides for replacement of the the existing central cooling plant and the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) control system throughout the facility. The proposed design includes a thermal energy storage system to reduce energy costs. Project completion is scheduled for August 2009.

Approval of the design development phase will allow the engineer to proceed with construction documents.

The project is currently funded at $785,246. The estimate of probable cost is $713,860.23. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
