EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
During the last 30 years, the Hillsborough County Public Schools has participated in the annual multi-agency Mass Casualty Drill. The purpose of this drill is to test the response capabilities of the County's emergency resources. In previous years, the School District provided school buses and student volunteers to be involved in mock emergencies such as tornadoes, fires, explosions, radioactive hazardous spills and chemical spills. This year, Tampa Bay Technical High School students and staff volunteers will be involved in a mass transit disaster. This drill will involve local and federal personnel and agencies along with approximately 700 Tampa Bay Technical High School students and staff volunteers, and approximately 25 school buses.
