EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Engineers were previously appointed or selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation and replacement projects at several schools. To facilitate completion of these projects during the upcoming summer, early acquisition of equipment with long lead times for delivery from the manufacturer is required.
Equipment specifications were developed by the respective engineers, and air handling units were grouped into a single solicitation by District staff. Three (3) bidders responded to the solicitation (bid tabulation attached). The respective engineers have reviewed the proposed equipment for compliance with the requirements of the solicitation. Award of contracts for the air handling units to the firms providing the low bid for equipment meeting the requirements of the solicitation, as indicated in the attachment, is therefore recommended.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The contract amounts being awarded are indicated in the attachment. These items are included in the local millage funds budgeted for the respective projects.
