Approve the Recommendation Regarding Lease of Stairs and Ramps From T&S Enterprises Handicap Accessibility, Inc. (Sole Source Provider) (Business Division)

As required by School Board policy, when the amount of a purchase from a sole source provider is $25,000 or more, the Board is to be notified. The District wants to enter into a lease agreement with T&S Enterprise, Inc. to take over the leasing of stairs and ramps for portable classrooms. This will reduce the cost of leasing stairs and ramps previously provided by existing modular lessors (ModSpace, Mobile Modular, and Williams Scotsman). T&S Enterprise, Inc. manufactures ramps and stairs from the plans, which are copyrighted by Melton & Associates. It should also be noted T&S Enterprise, Inc. holds the patent on this product.

Based on an annual projection of ramp and stair rentals, the District will save approximately $45,000 with the proposed lease agreement through T&S Enterprise, Inc.
