Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $550,722.33 for Renovation at
Apollo Beach Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed John J. McKenna Architect P.A. and The Morganti Group, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. Planned interior work includes accessibility improvements to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; upgrades to lighting, the fire alarm system, and signage to meet current standards; general painting and ceiling replacement throughout the campus; the addition of fire sprinklers for Building 1; and replacement of marker boards and cabinets where needed. Exterior work includes roof repairs, and ingress and egress improvements.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.
