SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Restrictions concerning the proper allocation of payroll expenditures to the appropriate fiscal year currently prohibits payment in July for days worked in June. The proposed recommendation is to modify the 12-month payroll schedule to allow days worked from June 15 through June 30, to be paid on June 30, 2009, instead of the originally approved July paydays. This change also affects other employees working during June and July such as substitute, non-permanent, and other personnel.
In addition, the first EYP refund payment will be paid on June 30, 2009, due to the elimination of the previously approved July 2, 2009, payday.
The original and proposed payroll schedules are attached.
