EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation has been planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 2 includes site drainage corrections, and new classroom windows, electrical service, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in selected buildings. Phase 2 completion is scheduled for August 15, 2009.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for Phase 2 of the project.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost for Phase 2 is warranted at $2,047,968. The total construction budget for all phases of the renovation is $3,103,742. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
