Approve and Endorse the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement serves as a conduit to expedite and coordinate the state's resources in the event of a catastrophic disaster. The aid outlined in the agreement for both requesting parties and assisting parties is the same type of help the School District rendered our neighboring counties during the 2004 hurricane season. The statewide agreement formalizes and coordinates the assistance for optimum use. This agreement will also facilitate the process of post-event reimbursement. In conclusion, the agreement allows the School District to receive help if needed and to render help if requested.
