Approve Deer Park Elementary School Interlocal Agreement for Campus Road Improvements Related to Construction of the Citrus Park Drive Extension

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Deer Park Elementary School is located on Citrus Park Drive, which currently ends in a cul-de-sac immediately to the east of the school entrances. Hillsborough County Public Works will be constructing the Citrus Park Drive Extension in 2009/2010 and make Citrus Park Drive a through road connecting at Sheldon Road. It is necessary to redesign the school road system and driveways to accommodate the introduction of west bound traffic and ensure that the entrances function effectively and safely. The Interlocal Agreement establishes that the Facilities Division will manage the school road improvement project and be reimbursed by Hillsborough County for all design, construction, and administrative expenses.
