On February 18, 2008, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation is being planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. The renovation of existing facilities for Phase II includes sitework; selected plumbing, mechanical, and electrical revisions; handicap accessibility revisions; exterior painting; replacement of deteriorated doors; and new bus drop-off canopy, windows, and fire sprinkler system. Phase II completion is scheduled for August 2009.

Approval of the schematic design and design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents.

The project is currently funded at $2,713,711 for all phases. The estimate of probable cost for Phase II is $1,737,058. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction.
