Approve Disposal of Obsolete Stores Inventory (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Per State Statute 274.05 and School Board Policy 7.10, the Board may sell, transfer, or dispose of any real or tangible property, which they declare to be unnecessary or unsuitable for district purposes. The following departments have identified stock items that are obsolete or damaged: A/C and Refrigeration, Central Warehouse, and Technology Repair.

* Demonstrate best financial practices

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)

There is no additional cost to the district, however, the stores inventories in the General Ledger will be decreased by $179,232.07. All proceeds received from the sale or auction of the items will be deposited into the General Fund.
