EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On February 18, 2008, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation is being planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 2 of the renovation includes sitework; selected plumbing, mechanical, and electrical revisions; handicap accessibility revisions; exterior painting; replacement of deteriorated doors; and a new bus drop-off canopy, windows, and fire sprinkler system. Phase 2 completion is scheduled for August 17, 2009.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost for Phase 2 is warranted at $1,731,282. The construction budget is $1,731,282. The construction budget for all phases is $2,713,711. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction.
