Approve Acceptance of Project for Renovation (Phase 1) at
Mabry Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation was planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 1 included roof repairs; concrete and masonry restoration; new windows; new acoustical ceilings and lighting; interior painting; new window treatments; new signage, casework and markerboards; and selected plumbing fixture and flooring replacements.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
