Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $1,225,973.77 for Renovation at
Burns Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Rowe Architects, Inc. and Batson-Cook Company to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities provides for locker refinishing; interior painting; door hardware, toilet accessories, and other miscellaneous handicap accessibility upgrades; roof refurbishment; replacement of acoustical ceilings; replacement of worn carpet with vinyl composition tile (VCT); and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and fire sprinkler system replacements.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.
