On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed Rowe Architects, Inc. and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes roof and plaster wall repairs; exterior brick repointing, restoration, and sealing; interior painting; upgrades to emergency lighting, telephone, voice/data, closed circuit television (CCTV), and security systems; replacement of the fire alarm system and instructional aids; removal of carpet and refinishing of existing hardwood floors; handicap accessibility upgrades to door hardware, thresholds, and building entries; and the addition of a fire sprinkler system.

This change order provides for a new clinic and computer lab. These new facilities will allow for the elimination of two portables. A time extension of 228 calendar days is included to accommodate a delay in permit approval, unforeseen environmental issues discovered during the work, and the additional time required for the new clinic and computer lab.
