Accept the Lowest and Best Bid Submitted by Dave's Piano Showroom – Invitation to Bid (ITB) #9089-EST Pianos - New Schools (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This bid was prepared at the request of the Secondary Education Department to establish fixed pricing for pianos for new schools. Award of this contract shall be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications. This recommendation has been reviewed by the General Director of Secondary Education. A more detailed review of the specifications can be obtained by contacting the Procurement Department.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds of approximately $64,000 will be held in the Secondary Education budget for the purchase of pianos for new schools. This represents an approximate savings of $10,000 as compared to current pricing.
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
