American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (A.R.R.A.) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Hillsborough County School District is participating in the Federal Stimulus Program. Title I and IDEA will receive additional funding. A task force was formed in March 2009, to give input on the utilization of the funding. The recommendations of the task force were to give additional funding to Staff Development, Early Intervention programs, Technology, Curriculum, and Postsecondary programs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The award of $78,000,000 will be allocated from the Federal Government.

EVALUATION

The Audit General will evaluate the district's uilization and verification of funds awarded.
