EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On November 18, 2008, the Board appointed the engineering firm of Advanced Systems Engineering, Inc. to provide design services. The scope of work provides for replacement of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and controls that have exceeded or are reaching the end of their useful life. The scope also includes replacement of the fire alarm, intercom, and lighting systems throughout the campus. The project will improve the reliability of the HVAC system at the school and reduce energy consumption. On April 21, 2009, the Board appointed Vogel Bros. Building Co. to provide construction management services. Project completion is scheduled for March 2010.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $2,357,890. The construction budget is $2,772,498. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: $2,156,944 from Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction and $200,946 from Local Millage.
