SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve the Paper Reduction Report to the Florida Board of Education

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The legislation to reduce paperwork and data collection by teachers requires a report to the State Board of Education each year. Janet Caraballo, a teacher at B.C. Graham Elementary School, currently serves as the District-appointed teacher representative for paperwork and data collection reduction and as as member of the District Data Collection and Forms Committee. A copy of the report is attached.

The Data Collection and Forms committee met two times during the past school year in order to review changes, additions, and deletions regarding forms. As a result of the committee's efforts, the total number of forms has decreased from 582 to 528 during the year.
