Daniel Bonilla - Principal, Jefferson High School

A district representative for each instructional level was selected for the Literacy Leader of the Year Award and Outstanding Reading Leadership Team Award by a district committee from applications submitted. The regional committee's criteria for selections was based on the applicant's educational activities at the school, district and/or state and national level, contributions to the professional community, and their expertise in the area of reading. These reading leaders are outstanding educators who have contributed to reading education in Florida, and whose commitment and outstanding efforts make a difference for students each day.

The regional finalists were recognized by Just Read, Florida! with a certificate of recognition and a $250 check.
