Approve the Modification to the Subagreement (#1777-1037-00-E) Between the University of South Florida (USF) and Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) for Services Associated with HCPS Role in the State’s Mathematics and Science Partnerships Grant, Florida Partnership to Rejuvenate & Optimize Mathematics and Science Education (PROMiSE) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) reduced the amount of planned funding for Year Two of the state’s Mathematics and Science Partnerships grant, resulting in a budget reduction of $20,068. Total funding for Year Two is now $227,184. The role of HCPS in this grant is to provide personnel to create and deliver professional development in K-12 mathematics and science for HCPS teachers.

Funding for this project is provided by the FLDOE; Project # 291-2359A-9CM01. USF is the grant’s fiscal agent and project funds reside at USF. HCPS will invoice USF as outlined in the original Subagreement (#1777-1037-00-E).

Under the terms of the grant USF is responsible for project evaluation. A copy of the annual reports and final evaluation report will be provided to HCPS Office of Assessment and Accountability. The anticipated date for the second annual report is March 30, 2010.
