EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As part of the original land acquisition for Strawberry Crest High School, there was an existing lease for billboard space with the Branch Ranch of which the School Board assumed ownership of this lease and receipt of the $12,000 rental payments in its final year. The attached Lease Agreement has been updated for a term of three years (retroactive from August 1, 2009) with rental payments of $15,000 per year and the right to terminate by either party with a 90 day written notice. Language has also been included giving the School Board authority to approve advertising content, access coordination with the school principal, indemnification of the School Board and Jessica Lunsford Act language.
The funds received from the billboard lease will be used for off-site improvements to the campus. This lease has been reviewed by the School Board attorney as to form and sufficiency.

The receipt of the $15,000 lease fees from the Branch Ranch will be used by the School Board for off-site improvements for Strawberry Crest High School, David E. Bailey Elementary School and the future middle school.
