Approve Agreement with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) to Host the 2009/2010 FHSAA Soccer Finals State Championship (Athletics Department)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the agreement to host the FHSAA 2009/2010 Soccer Finals State Championship event on February 10-20, 2010, at University of Tampa’s Pepin-Rood Stadium, Tampa, Florida. The event draws teams from all over the state of Florida. The district hosted the 2008/2009 Soccer Finals State Championship at the same venue. To accommodate the large crowds, press, and media representation from a multitude of cities, FHSAA officials and staff, as well as district personnel are needed to run the multi-day event.

* Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
The expenditures for the tournament will be offset by gate receipts and no additional funding will be required.
