SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve a Contract for Medicaid Data Management Partnership with Hernando County School District (Hernando) for the Period of January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2011 (Business Division)
Since February 1, 2009, the School Board of Hillsborough County (HCPS) has provided Medicaid “Fee-for-Service” billing for Hernando. This relationship has been beneficial to both parties and has been accomplished without hindering the HCPS program. The contract has allowed HCPS to assist Hernando to avoid revenue shortages due to lack of capabilities to bill Medicaid. HCPS has the unencumbered capacity to continue to accept responsibility for processing Medicaid billing for Hernando for the period of the contract.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
* Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals, * Demonstrate best financial practices
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
This agreement will increase Medicaid revenue for HCPS, without incurring additional costs. Based on the previous contract, revenue estimate is approximately $12,000.
