Approve the Administrative Appointment of the Supervisor for Measures of Effective Teaching (MET) Project

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This is a new position established to provide support, leadership, and assistance in the implementation of the MET Project. Duties of the position include completing core project tasks, including scheduling 700-1000 teachers for observations and communicating with principals and teachers regarding the project; working at the school level and helping with scheduling issues; providing needed support for the teacher-student/roster validation work.

* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates, * Motivate students to become responsible learners, * Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum, * Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Funding for this project is provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. HCPS is the grant's fiscal agent and project funds reside with the District.

EVALUATION

Project research will be conducted through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
