Recognition of Hillsborough County Public Schools for the Florida Healthy School District Award (Student Services and Federal Programs)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Florida Coordinated School Health Partnership is a joint collaboration between the Department of Education and the Department of Health. Awards are based on the information provided by the Florida Healthy School District Self-Assessment Tool. This self-assessment is based on eight component areas of the Coordinated School Health model and focuses on district infrastructure, policy, programs, and practices identified from national and state guidelines, best practices, and Florida statutes.

Hillsborough County Public Schools received the Silver Level Award. Hillsborough County Public Schools will be one of eight Florida Healthy School Districts featured on the Department of Education’s Office of Healthy Schools Web Site.
